FAQ'S ABOUT MEMBERSHIP
When does the new schedule & the Member option start? All memberships begin at the first of the month. Will walk-in clients and Non-Members still be welcome? Absolutely! We hope that some of them will want to become members, but if Membership doesn't fit their needs, they are certainly welcome to pay-per-class or purchase a package. Why have a Membership Option? The membership model allows Members to pay lower fees and help determine class offerings, provides a stable flow of income to pay the teachers, and allows the studio to grow in a stable and controlled way, ensuring its future. Why do you have a no-shoe policy? Our policy, when in the carpeted areas, is to be barefoot or wear socks to keep the carpet clean. While you will be using a mat for both Pilates and Flow Yoga, you will be lying on the floor and so we want it to be as clean as possible. If you prefer to wear shoes, that’s ok as long as they are for indoor use only. Do I have to sign up for any of the group mat classes? No, there is no sign up needed. All classes on the schedule will be held as scheduled. This gives you the flexibility to change your plans at the last minute if needed. Do I need any special equipment, like mats or balls? No. We provide mats and any other equipment you may need for class. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer. Should I take Pilates or Flow Yoga Classes? Pilates and Flow Yoga both focus on correctly aligned movement that flows with the breath. Because of these similarities, we find that they compliment one another. Proficiency with both practices takes time, but it's pretty easy to move between Pilates and Flow Yoga if you know the fundamentals of each. So, we suggest you try both. Is once a week really going to help me? With once a week practice, your body will show changes more slowly, but it will change. The more time you devote to practice at home, at the studio or a combination of the two, the faster you will develop core strength and improved body alignment. What should I wear? Wear clothing that is stretchy and allows your body to move freely without being baggy. Exercise clothing should be somewhat snug so we can see how your body moves and help you with form and alignment. Baggy clothing makes it harder for us to help you. If wearing shorts, please wear compression type shorts underneath, so no one gets flashed. You can wear socks or go barefoot during your session/class. What is the cancellation policy for Pilates Private, Semi-Privates and Trio sessions? We require 24 hours notice to cancel a Private session so that we may fill your spot with someone else. We regret that we must charge for missed sessions without adequate notice. If you miss a Semi-Private, your group mates will be charged based on the number attending. How is your equipment cleaned? Tea tree oil and water. We use tea tree oil because of its antiseptic, antibacterial, antibiotic and antiviral properties. It's also kind on the skin. Each client is responsible for wiping down their mat/equipment at the end of class. Cotton wash cloths and spray bottles make it fast and easy. The cloths are washed after each use. Are there any forms to sign? Yes, each client must sign a Liability Release form prior to attending their first group class. For private sessions, each client will also complete a Health Evaluation form to ensure that we are aware of any pre-existing conditions or injuries you may have. Please arrive a few minutes early for your first visit to sign any needed forms. |
